Volunteering with Sudarshan Sanchari Foundation strengthens rural education while offering meaningful cultural immersion. Roles focus on classroom teaching and project support at Sri Kariambha High School, with clear expectations and simple village accommodation so the effort stays centered on students' learning.
Teaching is delivered in Kannada for all subjects except English. Basic English is acceptable for foreign volunteers who can follow simple instructions.

Lead warm-ups, fitness drills, games, and daily activity sessions that build discipline, teamwork, and confidence for grades 8–10.
Teach reading, writing, comprehension, and spoken English using activity-based methods and simple resources for Kannada-medium learners.
Support fundamentals, problem-solving practice, and exam preparation through short modules aligned with the school syllabus.
Facilitate engaging lessons in history, civics, geography, and economics, connecting topics to local contexts and current events.
Photograph/film ongoing projects, edit short videos, design posts, and draft impact stories for web and social channels.
Help coordinate the Cycle Bank, school supplies distribution, and other Foundation activities on the ground.
Simple village accommodation with separate facilities; three vegetarian meals daily reflecting Central Karnataka home-style food. Clean, basic amenities and short walks to school.
Classroom briefings, sample lesson plans, and on-site coordination. Structured schedules that respect school hours and exam cycles.
Teaching experience, facilitation and teamwork practice, content credits where applicable, and a completion certificate acknowledging your service.
Opportunities to learn regional routines, festivals, and Central Karnataka vegetarian cooking during off-hours with local families.
Graduates, teachers, athletes/coaches, creators, or motivated learners. Prior teaching certification is welcome but not mandatory when paired with orientation.
Indian and international volunteers welcome. Language of instruction is Kannada; basic English accepted for foreign volunteers with simple-instruction comprehension.
